Clear roof photos without climbing a ladder

Detailed drone photos of roofs and exteriors, organized for your roofer, your adjuster or your own records, with an optional dated PDF photo report.

  • Every job is planned around the FAA’s Part 107 rules for commercial drone operations.

02 Overview

Roof & exterior photos

Steep, tall or fragile roofs are hard to photograph safely from a ladder. A drone can photograph most slopes, edges and rooftop features from just above, in a single visit, with the capture date recorded.

We document what the camera can see and organize it so it’s easy to review. The judgment calls (what’s damaged, what a repair costs, what a policy covers) stay with your roofer, adjuster or inspector.

Ideal for

  • Roofing contractors preparing estimates or before-and-after records
  • Insurance adjusters and independent adjusting firms
  • Property managers and HOAs keeping condition records
  • Homeowners after a storm, and sellers who want a dated record of the roof (if you’re buying, hire a licensed home inspector)

04 Process

How the job works

From your first message to your final files.

  1. WP 01

    Tell us about the building

Share the address, the roof type if you know it, the number of buildings and why you need photos. Roofers and adjusters can send a shot list.

  2. WP 02

    We plan the flight

We check the airspace and the forecast. Roof photos need a dry roof with no snow, so we choose a day that will actually show the surface.

  3. WP 03

    On site

We look for wires, trees and other hazards, then photograph the overview, each side and each slope, followed by close-ups of the features on your list. Nobody needs to climb onto the roof.

  4. WP 04

    Labeling and delivery

We label and organize the images, add a PDF photo report with the address and capture date if your quote includes one, and send everything by private link.

05 Before you book

Good to know

  • A drone photographs surfaces. It can’t lift shingles, check the decking or underlayment, feel for soft spots or find leaks inside.
  • We don’t diagnose damage, estimate repairs or make insurance decisions. Hail marks, blistering and worn granules can look alike in photos, so an expert should review them.
  • Our photos and reports are not a licensed home inspection. If you’re buying a home, hire a licensed home inspector.
  • Wet or snow-covered roofs hide detail, so weather can move the date.
  • Thermal imaging and roof measurement reports need other tools. If you need them, ask, and we’ll tell you whether we can help or who can.
06 Pricing

What affects the price

Every job is quoted individually. The main factors:

  • Number of buildings and how complex the roofs are
  • Photo set only, or photos plus a PDF report
  • Video, map or 3D add-ons
  • Travel to the property
  • Return visits
  • You’ll get a written quote before anything is scheduled.
07 Questions

Questions about this service

Read all FAQs

A drone can capture close, detailed photos that show visible marks, dents, missing granules and displaced material. Whether those marks are hail damage is a judgment for your roofer or adjuster. We capture clear, labeled photos so they can make that call.

They can support a claim as documentation, but we don’t file claims or decide coverage. If your adjuster or insurer has specific photo requirements, send them with your request and we’ll plan the shot list around them.

We don’t offer roof measurements or measurement reports. If you need them, ask, and we’ll tell you whether we can help or who can.

No. We need permission to take off and land on the property, and the occupants should know when we’re coming. We don’t go inside or onto the roof.

We can try to schedule around their visit. Include their availability in your request, and keep in mind that the weather has the final say.
