The short version
- We collect the information you choose to send us through our forms and by email, plus basic technical information that websites and form software record.
- On client jobs we capture aerial images of the property we’re hired to photograph, and we share them only with the client and the people the client chooses.
- We use it to answer you, prepare quotes, deliver projects and improve our service.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and this site doesn’t use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information at any time.
Information you give us
- Quote requests: your name, email address, and optional phone number and company; the property or site location; details about the job and your dates; and any files you upload, such as site plans, sketches or photos.
- Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number and location, and your message.
- Client feedback form: your ratings and comments, and, if you choose, your name, email address and a comment you give us permission to publish.
- Email: anything you send to drew@drewsdrone.services.
Please don’t send gate codes, alarm codes, passwords or payment card numbers through our forms or by email.
Information collected automatically
- Form technical data. When you submit a form, our form software (Formidable Forms) stores the IP address and browser information your device sends, with the date and time. We use this to prevent spam and abuse.
- Pages visited before submitting. Our form software records the pages on this site you viewed before submitting a form and stores that list with your entry. It helps us understand which information visitors found useful. It isn’t shared and isn’t used for advertising.
- How you found us. If you arrive through a link with a campaign tag (for example, utm_source), the quote form saves that tag with your request.
- Unfinished quote requests. If you start our quote request form and enter your email address but don’t submit it, the form may save what you’ve entered so far. We use it only to follow up about that request or to help you finish it. If you’d rather we didn’t, tell us and we’ll delete it.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our web host automatically records basic technical information about visits, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. This site doesn’t use third-party analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. We may use:
- a session cookie that our form software sets while you browse this site, so it can record the pages you visited before you submit a form (it expires when you close your browser);
- cookies or similar technology that help protect our forms from spam;
- cookies that keep site administrators logged in (these apply only to people who manage the site).
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our forms may not work fully if cookies are blocked.
Analytics
We don’t use third-party analytics tools. The only visit information we keep is what our form software stores with a submitted form, described above. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. This site doesn’t track visitors across other websites, so the signal doesn’t change anything here. We don’t allow other companies to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites through this site.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- reply to your questions and prepare quotes;
- plan, schedule and deliver projects, including airspace and site planning;
- send you project files and updates;
- ask for, read and act on your feedback;
- publish a testimonial, only if you’ve given permission on our feedback form;
- keep the website and our forms secure and free of spam;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don’t send newsletters or marketing emails unless you ask us to.
How form entries and files are stored
Form submissions are stored in our website’s database with our website hosting provider, and a copy is emailed to our business inbox. Files you upload are stored privately in the same hosting account. Only Drew, and anyone Drew authorizes to help manage the website, can see them.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell or rent personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, our email provider and spam-filtering services, and only as needed for them to provide their service;
- with the FAA and FAA-approved service providers when we request airspace authorization for your job, which involves the flight location, date and time, and our pilot details, not your contact details;
- with other people involved in your project, when you ask us to, such as your roofer, adjuster, agent or project team;
- when the law requires it (for example, a subpoena or warrant), or to protect the rights, safety or property of our clients, the public or ourselves.
Aerial imagery and people on the ground
Our work involves photographing properties from the air. This section covers the aerial photos, video, maps and 3D models we capture on a job.
- What we capture and why. We capture images of the property, site or area a client hires us to photograph, to produce the photos, video, maps, models and reports the client asked for. Aerial images can also show neighboring property, vehicles or people nearby, even when we plan the flight to avoid them.
- How we limit what’s captured. We plan flights to focus on the property we’ve been hired to photograph, avoid lingering over neighboring homes, don’t aim cameras into neighbors’ windows or yards, and avoid capturing identifiable people.
- Who receives it. We deliver project files to the client, and to anyone the client asks us to share them with, through a private download link. Our file storage and delivery providers hold the files on our behalf. We don’t sell aerial imagery or share it for advertising.
- Publishing. We publish client work only with the client’s permission, and we blur or remove identifiable people and private details from images we publish.
- How long we keep it. We keep project files for a limited time after delivery so we can re-send them if needed, then delete them (see How long we keep information).
- Law enforcement requests. If law enforcement asks for images, we provide them only when legally required, such as by a subpoena or warrant, or when the client asks us to.
If you believe we’ve captured images of you or your property and you have a concern, or you’d like images deleted, email drew@drewsdrone.services, and we’ll review your request and reply by email.
Testimonials
If you give permission on our feedback form, we may publish your comment with the name and role you provide. We may shorten it, marking any cuts with an ellipsis (…), but we won’t change its meaning. You can withdraw permission at any time, and we’ll remove it from our website.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Quote requests and messages that don’t lead to a project are deleted once we no longer need them to answer you or follow up.
- Project records, including contact details and quotes, are kept as long as needed for the project and for our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- Unfinished quote requests are deleted if they aren’t completed and we don’t need them to follow up.
- Project files (photos, video, maps and reports) are kept for a limited time after delivery so we can re-send them if needed, then deleted. Ask us if you’d like yours deleted sooner.
- Feedback is kept to help us improve. Published testimonials stay up until you ask us to remove them.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards. The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to form entries is limited to site administrators, and we keep the site’s software up to date. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you.
Email drew@drewsdrone.services. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights, and we’ll honor requests as the law requires.
Children
This website is for business and property customers and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as the FAA’s. We aren’t responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
